Maria Martynova

A distinguished professional Bellydance artist and multi-award-winning performer, brings a fusion of classical Western, Indian, and flamenco dance to the vibrant Atlanta cultural scene. With a rich background as both a performer and choreographer, Maria has left an indelible mark on Atlanta’s dance community. She’s notably choreographed for Vibha’s “Dancing for a Cause” charity events, showcasing her commitment to using her talent for philanthropic endeavors. Maria’s dynamic performances have graced prestigious venues including the Fox Theatre, Georgia Aquarium, and temple festivals, where she captivates audiences with her mesmerizing routines, infusing each space with elegance and flair. Her accolades include winning the prestigious Dance USA Dance national competition alongside Master Saroj Khan in Bollywood.

Catherine Evergreen

Catherine Evergreen

A seasoned musician originally hailing from New York City, has graced Atlanta’s music scene since relocating in 2020. Trained at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, Catherine showcases her mastery of both the violin and viola, enchanting audiences with her versatile performances. With a passion for classical music intertwined with other genres, Catherine has lent her talents to esteemed musical ensembles such as the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra, and the Johns Creek Symphony. Her repertoire extends beyond classical, having collaborated with diverse groups like The American ELO and Infinity Song. Catherine’s musical prowess has also caught the attention of corporate giants, including Nike, Telemundo, and Michelin, where she continues to deliver captivating performances at their Atlanta-based events.

Kimberly Moran

Kimberly is a profound musician whose talents have paved a journey that never ends. Originally starting her musical journey at the age of 5 by learning piano, Kimberly has continued to shape her craft over the years by learning harp and composing music. By joining acclaimed ensembles such as the American Youth Harp Ensemble, the Talent Development Program, and the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble, she has had the privilege of studying under and playing along side prominent musicians. Now a professional harpist of 14 years, Kimberly has graced the stages of the renowned Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, historic venues overseas in Austria, the Nashville Symphony Schermerhorn Center, and many more to name a few. Her passion for music and learning has lead her from student to teacher, as she has taught piano and harp to students at Bach to Rock and VerLyn Music. Along with teaching, Kimberly loves to give back to communities and inspire young artists, and her efforts have been recognized by achieving the Motivational Award at The Nonprofit Trinity Awards. Accomplishments aside, Kimberly truly loves to lose herself in her music, and is most familiar with improvisation as she lets her emotions guide her hands on the harp. Although classically trained, Kimberly enjoys composing pieces that draw from classical themes while intertwining bold, cinematic sounds that reconstruct what people envision as harp music.

Ankit Patel

Ankit Patel

Ankit Patel is the soulful Shehnai player and composer for the renowned Surya Ensemble, captivating audiences with the enchanting melodies of this rare traditional Indian oboe. Despite his primary skill as a keyboardist, Ankit’s dedication to mastering the Shehnai shines through, with over a decade of training under a renowned teacher in Mumbai, India, since 2012. While his talents have taken him worldwide, performing primarily at Indian weddings, Ankit’s presence graces numerous Atlanta venues, including beloved local Indian restaurants like Tabla, Masala, Chai Pani, Masti, and Cafe Bombay. His performances have also resonated at iconic Atlanta locations such as the Fox Theatre, Atlanta History Center, Chateau Elan, Atlanta Zoo, and even the Country Music Hall of Fame, further solidifying his status as a cherished musician within Atlanta’s diverse live music scene.

Michelle Winters

Nima Ghadiri

Nima Ghadiri, born and raised in Birjand, Iran, his passion for music blossomed early in life. At 9, he taught himself Santour and Daf, later receiving instruction from master Toufan Teymoury. By 15, he delved into percussion under Reza Ajam’s guidance, fostering his talent further. Moving to Tehran at 20, he honed his skills with renowned mentors like Mohammad Ali Kiani Nejad, performing in concerts across Iran. Recognized as one of the best Daf players in the “40-Daf” music band, he has led numerous folklore concerts in the U.S. since 2007, including performances in Atlanta music concerts.

What’s the food and drink situation?

Outside food and beverages aren’t allowed at the venue, but don’t worry! We’ve got you covered! Every ticket includes a complimentary drink for you to enjoy during the show.

What is the dress code for your events?

Our events are semi-formal. This means attire that is dressier than everyday wear, but not quite as formal as a black-tie event. Think cocktail dresses, dress pants, skirts, and collared shirts or blouses. You can also add a touch of elegance with a blazer or sweater.

Is parking available?

Yes, there’s plenty of free parking available at the Abernathy Arts Center. For overflow, you can also find free street parking nearby.

What’s your refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. Refunds are not available. However, if you’re unable to attend after purchasing a ticket, we’re happy to honor your ticket for a future Surya Ensemble show. Just contact us before the event date to make arrangements, and we’ll ensure you don’t miss out on the experience!

Are there any age restrictions?
